Still unpacking!

Boxes boxes and more boxes... I hate unpacking as much as I hated packing! I hope to sit down sometime this weekend and enjoy glancing about the house. Finch removals http://www.finchremovals.com.au/ did such a fantastic job of moving my furniture. I was really worried about my great-grandma's china cabinet making the journey but the boys took great care with my possessions.
We have had our security doors installed by Advanced Security doors. Corey did such a fantastic job!

NBNco have installed their equipment.
This is the comm box we upgraded to during construction. As you can see the NBN equipment was due to go on an uninsulated wall... Imagine the dust and dampness that may have interfered with the equipment below.

  1. Evening,
The updates are great! Things are coming along well.
I was wondering who did you organise the Comms Box through? Was it included with the NBN package?
    Thanks,

    1. The comm box was not part of the package but an upgrade... We organised it through our consultant with Home smart innovations.

    2. It's Much neater with an enclosure and keeps the hardware protected too. Built Boards has a great value unit

  2. At our HSI appointment the consultant said a Comms Box wasn't required. Grrr!
    Thank you for your reply.

    1. They said that to us too, but when I looked at my neighbours who all built with Masterton, they all got a Hills Hub box. Interestingly, all their garages are fully gyprocked. Eden brae don't gyprock, and they would have placed the equipment on the exterior wall, no insulation and susceptible to moisture and damp from the brick. I pushed for it, and got it added one week before handover

  3. Hi, in regard to the security doors, may I ask what sort of material Corey has used. we are having the same kind of doors in the alfresco area and he has offered us an alternative to crimsafe which is cheaper than crimsafe but very strong. for 2 doors has initially he quoted around $800 but after completion he is asking for $950 and also finish was terrible from the sides.
can you please advise me if you do not mind? thanks

  4. We built in Oran Park, and got his number from your forum for the security doors and the fly screens, fly screens were too lose to the windows that only one touch of my finger was pushing them outside the window and i then asked him to fix or take them with him but honestly speaking i was feeling sorry for him but i could not have money to waste. Not sure what to tell him now when he is changing his mind with the doors and asked me more money.
